As the Space Shuttle era nears its end in 2011 we all remember the sacrifices and achievements of NASA and of our Astronauts. This graphic clock for iPad is a reminder of some of their contribution to the exploration of space.
To create a graphic clock we have resurrected the Mir Space Station circling the earth every 12 hours with its rotational axis in the hour position. The International Space Station is circling the earth in 60 minutes with its rotational axis at the minutes position.
The Space Shuttle circles tirelessly in 60 seconds while the Hubble telescope remains rock solid capturing ultra deep field images of the cosmos (thanks in a large part to the Space Shuttle Hubble Repair and Service Missions).
The space stations are continuously rotating so its easy to determine the centers of rotations.

Most enjoyable if you have Blue Danube playing, I imagine it was played often on the shuttle missions.

version 1.0 review...
"My kid is really into space (he actually was granted a wish by the Make-A-Wish Foundation to be an astronaut for a day...HE LOVES THIS APP!:) Pretty neat how they created it..."

version 1.1 we added...
Voyager 1 & 2 are over 8 billion mile away, traveling at nearly 40,000 MPH into the unknown. Could that unimaginable isolation and loneliness manifest itself as an apparition that returns to its home planet? It does, every 5 minutes for a flyby, in this Final Frontier collage.

Note; We have taken liberties with scale & orbit altitudes to produce a visually pleasing clock.
Tech Center Labs has no affiliation with NASA other than a deep admiration of their achievements.
